Fear God
Father, teach me the fear of the Lord so that I may know Your covenant. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge that leads to a fountain of life, a strong confidence, and stability in hard times, and a wealth of salvation. A man who fears God holds nothing back from the Lord. A man who will not change does not fear God. So I work out my salvation with fear and trembling for God is a consuming fire perfecting me in holiness. I delight in the fear of God so as not to make rash judgments by the sight of my eyes or the hearing of my ears. I walk in the fear of God and the comfort of the Holy Spirit knowing You take no delight in my might, strength or my wisdom but only when I fear Your name. I conduct myself all the daylong in fear and trembling knowing I am redeemed by the awesome blood of Jesus. I fear God and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of man and I will not fear what man can do to me which brings a snare to life. I ask You to put Your fear in my heart so as to not depart from Your ways; an undivided heart to fear Your name for salvation is near those who fear God and it endures forever. The angels of the Lord encamp about me because I fear Your name openly and I remain untouched by evil. In the name of Jesus who has made me clean by His words and the fear of the Lord keeps me clean.
