Overcoming The Pride Of Life

Father, I give preferential treatment to everyone I come in contact. On the road, I yield to the other driver. At the checkout, I yield to my fellow man especially if I am in a hurry. I give my friends the first opportunity to speak and I do not interrupt giving them my full attention. Everywhere I go I presume to serve. When trials come my way I count it all joy and praise You that You have given me life. I am sure to make the first move in salutations and in reconciliation. I always ask what I can do, without presumption. I do not consider myself the greatest but the least. I don't put

Overcoming The Lust Of The Eyes

Father, I only eat from the tree of life to receive my purpose not trying to figure it out on my own. I do not covet someone else's gifts, talents or place in life. I am thankful for where You have placed me and content with what You have given me. I only want those things that will help me live and accomplish the goals You have set before me. I am thankful for the diverse body of Christ. I do not call the world blessed because if its abundance. But I find it worthwhile to serve You in the inheritance You have given me through Jesus Christ.

Overcoming A Bad Attitude

Father, I am not prideful thinking everything should go my way. I choose to have a positive attitude today knowing that all things work together for good to those whom love You and are called according to Your purpose. You cause me to triumph in all circumstances. I have not seen or heard what You have laid up for me except by faith in Jesus Christ. You always bless me more than I ask or think and give me double for my trouble. You are working in me Your good, acceptable and perfect will. So…

Overcoming Myself

Father, my life is bought with a price and is not my own. This morning I die to sin and live to the righteousness found in Christ Jesus. Not my will but Your will be done. My desires don't move me as I give myself to Your will and purpose. I only do what I see You do and speak what I hear You speak and the way you spoke it. I ask, seek and knock before I presume anything. I do nothing for the praise of man but only for the glory of God that I may receive the victory. My trust and confidence is in You and Your Word and not in my own understanding or in the strength of my flesh. I can do nothing of myself; only when I abide in Jesus can I do and bare good fruit. Thank You for helping me put away the old man and putting on the

Scripture

but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; - 1 Peter 3:15 KJV

What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops. - Matthew 10:26-28 KJV

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. - Hebrews 10:22-25 KJV
